You don't need to spend a lot of money to build a good rally bike. We have always loved the big XR: reliable, fast, and there are plenty of aftermarket racing parts available. Baja racers have figured out how to set up the XR to work very well in the desert. We supported the last XR to finish the Dakar (with rider Paul Broome) and we know that this is a capable bike.
We are not offering a complete rally kit here, just the minimum parts you would need to run an XR650R in a rally. Think of this as a suggested starting point.
